I dont know if you guys go on to RAP4 much, They have TTPL Sponsered or approved (which ever you want to call it) setups for vests. They do make them to fit the large sizes. When I spoke to a some of ya, you said you had vest issues with sizes. If when you choose the vest, choose the size large. They said "Large fits users who wear XXL, XXXL and XXXXL shirt sizes". Regular fits "Regular fits users who wear S, M, L and XL shirt sizes Regular - fits user under 6 feet and weights under 250lbs" Also they have a camo pattern they call Eight Color Desert. After getting the BDUs today, I realized its the same thing, different name (either I am slow or thats common). Main TTPL Rap4 Vest Pagewww.rap4.com/paintball/os/tactical-paintball-vest-builder-p-4181.htmlVest Builderwww.rap4.com/paintball/os/tactical-paintball-vest-builder-p-4181.htmlI am looking at a new make cause mind is falling apart a bit. Does anyone recommend any blands.. The mask im looking at is the Jt Vision Flex-8 Full Coverage Camo. www.actioncenterpaintball.com/paintball/pc/Jt-Vision-Flex-8-Full-Coverage-Camo-4p712.htm (not the site im getting it from. just wanted to link a page of it) I am pricing out my throatmic, does anyone recommend any particular models of motorola radios?

I would want to make sure it is fat guy friendly bro a lot of time there definition of "XL" isnt our definition of "XL", an example I went to MPS to buy a jersey and I grabbed one that said xxl, when I tried it on it was as long as a normal xxl in the torso and sleeves but in the chest it was like a medium. So I would try and get your chest measurements if you don’t already know them and then contact rap4 and get the max measurements of that vest, and make sure it’s a little bigger then your chest to allow movement etc.

I know it said large size as well with the extenders. But with this one, if you select large size, its suppose to fit up to like an XXXXL shirt. I had good luck with the stuff I got from RAP4 other than a 3xl shirt i got, it fits but a bit snug. I think its the way the shirt suppose to be, but i wish i went with a 4x. (I need to drop some sizes anyways.)

To answer some of your questions: RAP-4 is a sponsor of the TTPL and has been since it's begining so they have been working with the TTPL to design the TAC-TEN vest since the beginning.
About sizes and sizeing I would agree with killergopher check the actual measurements... like in shoes don't rely on someone's marketing department to get the right fit.
The color pattern on the RAP-4 eight color desert looks very similar to the multicam pattern. Looking closely it almost looks like they might have only shifted the greens and browns to make it just diferent enough to not conflict with the Crye precission patents. But it looks like it would also work well with the multicam pattern.
If you are interested in a grenade launcher like the one's that Rap-4 is selling I have two plus some grenades for sale.... they are ok in preformance kind of like a shotgun effect but the weight is more than my arm likes to carry all day.
As to Rap-4 giving out sponsorships: They gave out sponsorships to the top three teams on the nationals last year and the only discount I've heard about is 10% We can see about putting the team resume together again to reflect the new team members ans see what they say.

Thanks for the info. I didnt really have a question about RAP4 Sponcering TTPL. It was more of the discount and if that vest would be good for the color and if anyone had any qips about the config they have for it. I will look into the sizes again. I was going off their site. The vest I would think should fit since its using lacing on the sides I would imagine.
The concern was keep with the camp colors and if the setup of the vest is useful to consider. I been looking at vests on opsgear.com. I kind of dont like my vest. Its useful, but falling apart in places now. It was a semi cheap vest, only had it for a year.
The grenade launchers you were speaking about. Are they RIS or barrel attached? I am looking for that attaches to RIS rails.

I do like the vest and the larger size looks like it might fit but with my experience with paintball gear it is always good to try before you buy, but if you end up getting one let me know how it fits, you and I are about the same size so if it fits you it would probably fit me

Find the vest configuration that you like...and you will be comfortable useing... The RAP-4 eight color desert looks very similar to the multicam pattern and would not cause any problems that I can see based on the picture(s) I might look into that pattern when I get ready to replace my current vest...
the ones I have are both rail mounted and the longer length one is Mad Bull brand and the other dosen't have a name on it

I got my vest today. It fits great. For us big guys, you have to order it with the large feature selected. The sides are laces that allow it to extend.
The top shoulders have a velcro strap to tighter or just leave as in, they are sewn into the vest so the shoulders dont move other than using the velcro to tighten the shoulders up.
I think its a great vest, Definitly better than my other one. I paid a little more for mine than the standard ttpl cause i used the builder on it. The radio pouch fits my bulky motorola talkabout t5000 radio. Now i just need my helmet which didnt show up and i need my throat mic.
If you like my vest, let me know ill give ya the load out. You have to get the eight color desert which is multi cam but differnt name. It matches exactly my uniform.
They also have a eight color desert STU belt on rap4 which im waiting for as well.

i wouldnt mind taking a look at it next weekend at the TTPL event. I like the one that Chunky has, but i know that one is like, $150 normally.
If you dont mind me asking, how much was yours ? I would need the "large" option as well.

Mine was 165 but its custom to have the opitions. I can email a screenshot of my vest. I absolutly love my vest. I got to use it today. I think the only greif i got and its only my fault is i should got a pouch instead of a map/id puch. Something to hold tools and such. I also with i had a bigger grenade pouch, my the two i got is big enough to hold 1 Tippman Big boy grenade. Just right now i go no where to hold other items like smoke and rockets
