Is there any snipers and snipers that use the Tippmann X-7 as well. I wanted to get some ideas/opinions/suggestions on rig setups.
Currently, I am running and X-7 with e-trigger, adjustable stock, handgrip/bipod and a 14" proto barrel. I am looking at getting an 18" Smart Parts Barrel with the Muzzel to fit the Apex on it. Down the road, I am looking at getting the X-7 Flatline when I feel like being expermental with arching my shots and such. The other idea, other than the Smart Parts; was the Tippmann 18 Straightline. However I dont know if the Apex works on it. Other ideas were the Tippmann X7 Hammerhead barrel or the Tippmann X7 7/8 Inch Diameter 18 Inch Recon Barrel with the Apex. The Recon barrel is on Rap4. Gives opitions for a muzzle and the Apex, however I do not know which muzzle i need for the Apex.
The other things i wanted ideas for was Scope and other tactical opitions.

I have not used an x7 but I do know some of the current and past members of the team have and had some luck with them. I know Ronnie and Emilio both used x7's, Ronnie had the Flatline and loved it. I dont remember what Emilio had and I know Jim is using an x7 with an Apex and he swears by it.
I tried the flat line and Apex on my a5 and was not happy at all. In fact I don't like using my a5 at all and as anyone on the team can tell you I don't use it. But I wanted to at least let you know what I have seen and heard from other people.
Now if you want my true opinion I think the only way to be a paintball sniper and be as close to a real sniper as possible is to go with the T9 first strike kit. With this marker, the first strike kit, and the first strike paintballs the makers are bragging about 500' shots and ball on ball accuracy at these ranges. I have seen some of the videos on youtube about this and it looks to be pretty true but I am yet to get my hands on it and try it out for my self.
Hope this helps.

the t-4 is a newer version that just recently has come out, the t-9 comes as a pistol / rifle conversion setup

no that's not what i meant but i didn't know they made a gun from the factory to come with the first strike kit. until this came out the only way to get it was to buy a tiberius marker and the first strike kit separately.

The only thing i dont like about the Tiberius guns is the mags. The pistiol/rifiles have c02 in the mags. Which means your going to waste a cartigridge everytime you reload. The problem with this is even if you are using the hopper, for first strike your still using the mag. Even on the new rifle they came out with. I demo'ed a T8 the other night and found it unbalanced, the grip was a bit wider, the mags are not easily removed and I dont like the co2 in the mag. I am making plans to get the Tippmann TPX for my side arm. The mags are better, better feel, has a tac rail, and the mags come out cleanly and easy.
The thing about the other rifle, which I dont believe was very smart was it comes with one mag for co2 and the other for remote. so if your using remote air with the first strike, you gotta d/c your air just to reload. I know with that new gun you can swap between hopper and mag, but cant use the new rounds in the hopper.
I like the look of the Tiberius guns. It was going to be one of the first markers i was going to get when I got serious about PB, but now it just seems like alot of design flaws. I dont know. For the money, I get a Tippmanm, SP, BT, or a custom somewhere.
Let me know if I am off base. Im not so worried about having a real sniper gun that having the function. I got the range for the most part on my self, but the accuracy could be more desired. Kinda of why I was looking at a better barrel. I have heard pros and cons from very small amount of people on the APEX and Flatline. I see Apex in action. I like the ability to ball size match instead of using slips. I dont got a barrel that uses slips.

if you want accuracy go with a higher end marker, i have bob long protege that is ball on ball accurate when i over bore my barrel.
as far as the t9 goes you are not off base i actually have the same opinions and complaints you do.

T-9 mags shoot out when u hit the magazine clip so they slide out really easy. Only problem i can forsee using the First Strike rounds is if were playing on a ttpl field with the rules is the first strike paint gonna be sniper paint then ? cause i also want to play sniper as well and currently using an a-5 with flatline and e-grip /with or w/o harris bipod or glauncher. so still undecided first strike paintballs would be a good investment if were able to use em.
